"I was a little unsure whether to go 3.5 or 4 stars on this one. The reason being that I've tasted the last few vintages and they're all very similar. Nothing new here and I think I've grown a bit tired of it. However, if you've never had this wine before, try it and I promise you'll enjoy it! It's an absolute steal for $10.

"For $10, this is a steal. Monastrell aka Mourvedre, can be overly cloying and tannic, but the Hecula from Castano is refreshing in it's style. It's got a little spice, smoke and rich fruit but also a lively core or minerality and nice acidity that allows you to drink it on it's own or with a meal." |
